Paternity & Establishment  Red Flags

This red flag may arise in a paternity or establishment case, and should be referred to a State's Attorney immediately.

Some red flags are not apparent until the actual day of the hearing

CSS staff should review paternity cases carefully prior to preparing paternity pleadings. If any red flag issues are apparent from this review, staff should immediately refer the case to the State's Attorney.
