CSS Offices Public Health Guidelines

If you are working in any of our Child Support offices amid the COVID-19 emergency, thank you! Here are guidelines to help keep you safe and healthy.

Ideally, the same two staff members should be working in the office to hold down the fort while all others are teleworking.  However, we realize that is not always realistic as offices may need to have staff rotating for a shift.  Many managers are already putting in place public health and safety guidelines.

Some reminders:

  • Maintain a social distance of at least six feet by ensuring each staff has their own workspace, far apart.
  • Sanitize all common workspaces/equipment before a new staff member arrives to use them.  Use gloves, and wash hands afterwards.
  • Only come to the office for a legitimate business need.
  • Exchange files/documents outside the building without human interaction.  For example, put the files/documents outside in a box as the staff member arrives in the parking lot.  The staff member will pick up and drop off files/documents in the box and leave.  The staff member working inside the building then retrieves the box. The person inside should maintain security of the box by watching from inside.
  • Staff members who have been exposed to COVID-19 should self-quarantine for at least 14 days, in accordance with Center for Disease Control guidelines, and should not come into the office for any reason during quarantine.  If able, staff may telework during that time; otherwise take leave.
