Get Fit with SoonerFit

The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) has a wellness program called SoonerFit which provides information to help a person get healthy. This program could help you and the people you serve.

OHCA is also holding its 3rd annual SoonerFit Youth Art Contest and invites artists ages 3 through 18 to enter. SoonerFit believes healthy eating leads to a healthy lifestyle. Kids will draw what healthy eating looks like to them using this year’s theme: “You Art What You Eat.”  Submissions are accepted through February 28, 2018. Go to the SoonerFit link above to learn more.

The website helps you Eat Well, Get Fit, and tells you that Help is Here.

Try reading Eat Well on $4 / Day Good and Cheap.  (Same cookbook in Spanish!) This is a free cookbook by Leanne Brown for people with very tight budgets, particularly those on SNAP benefits, that has been downloaded over one million times.  Also, there are additional recipes from other sources within the Eat Well section of the SoonerFit site as well as nutrition apps, how to shop on a budget, etc.

The Get Fit section shows you exercise demos and other physical activities to help you no matter what your age.

The Help is Here section shows you helpful links for you and your customers.

Note: There are videos on the SoonerFit site that you may not be able to see when you are at your work site.
