While the NMSN is the primary method for enforcing medical support there are other enforcement remedies available.   These include remedies such as contempt or license revocation.

However, prior to other enforcement remedies being filed a review should be conducted to determine if a modification of the child support is more appropriate.  For example, the medical insurance may not be reasonable in cost or accessible to the child. In that situation, an order for cash medical support may be more appropriate than an order for health insurance coverage.
