If you are having difficulty creating a new account on the Servicemembers Civil Service Relief Act (SCRA) website, please complete the following steps to see if it resolves the issue.
- The SCRA website (https://scra.dmdc.osd.mil/scra/#/home) uses pop-ups. If pop-ups are blocked on your computer, you might see the image below in the address bar when completing the steps for a new account. You can click it and change the setting to allow popups. If you don’t see this in the address bar, proceed to step 2.
- On the last page before you submit your information, you must click and read the terms before checking the “I agree” box. Otherwise, it will not let you proceed to the next step.
- Once you complete the previous two steps, your account will be created, and a username will be emailed to the email address you provided.
Also, a few other notes about the SCRA website:
- SCRA will automatically log users out of a session after a set period of inactivity. Once a user has logged in, if there is no activity for 10 minutes or more, the session will be terminated.
- If your account becomes inactive after 35 days, the system will automatically disable your account and you will no longer have access to the file(s) you uploaded under that account.
- There are reports that passwords expire quickly, so be mindful of that.
- For technical questions such as site connectivity concerns, access to site, error codes, Multiple Record Requests, or general website assistance, please call the DMDC Technical Support Center (DSC) 1-800-477-8227.
