Victims of unemployment fraud

In addition to employees being the victim of fraudulent unemployment claims, we are also seeing that NCPs are being victimized.

If you are contacted by an NCP that states that they did NOT file an unemployment claim, and yet CSS is receiving payments from Oklahoma Employment Security Commission for unemployment offsets (payment type J/SG) please immediately contact the Center for Finance and Budget at OCSS.FinanceBudget to report the fraudulent claim. CFB will take the steps to refund any undistributed collection to OESC and notify CCP. CCP will notify OESC to stop paying the fraudulent unemployment claim and the sending CSS the offset.

If you get the opportunity, please ask the NCP to report the fraudulent claim to OESC and the Oklahoma Attorney General as described below:

Oklahomans can stop false claims made in their names by contacting the OESC at (405) 962-4602 or fraud@oesc.state.ok.us. For more information on false claims and other resources related to unemployment for individuals and business owners, visit oesc.ok.gov.

Individuals are also encouraged to fill out the new form and submit it to the Attorney General’s Office so the claim can be investigated by law enforcement. The email address to submit the form is unemploymentcomplaint@oag.ok.gov.
