Checking CSENet Messages

In OSIS there is an indicator on the AWL screen that indicates if there are new CSENet messages.

There are four ways to look up messages:

  1. NETIR – by U Number NETIR [U#] [DIR FLAG] [MMDDYY]
  2. NETIRF – by FGN NETIRF [FGN] DIR FLAG] [MMDDYY]
  3. NETIRO – by the other state IV-D number NETIRO [CASE #] [DIR FLAG] [MMDDYY]
  4. NETOFF – by office NETOFF [OFFICE CODE] [DIR FLAG] [MDDYY]

The options for direction flag [DIR FLAG] are: I = Incoming; O = Outgoing; B = Both

If you place an A in the DISPL ALL TRANS field it will show deleted messages as well.

Type S next to the message that you want to view. This will pull up the NETPATH screen. The NETPATH screen is a menu listing the screens that have been included in the message. Depending on what combination code was used to send the message there may be one or many screens listed. These may be accessed by typing an S next to the screen you wish to view. To get back to the NETPATH screen type NETPATH in the next field and press enter.

Be sure to delete messages by typing a D next to the message on the NETIR, NETIRF, NETIRO or NETOFF screen. This will clear the indicator off of the AWL screen.

Update any information received and case log any actions.
