Deprived cases follow regular case closure procedures. However, there are very few reasons for closure during the life of a deprived case. Those reasons are:
- Noncustodial Parent (NCP) is deceased.
- Child is deceased.
- NCP is on SSI – If the NCP is a possible father, paternity should be established or he must be excluded before closing the case.
- NCP has been incarcerated past the emancipation date – If the NCP is a possible father, paternity should be established or he must be excluded before closing the case.
