eKIDS is an information system provided by the Children and Family Services Division of DHS that allows authorized users to inquire into Oklahoma’s Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS, commonly referred to as KIDS)
While Child Welfare staff uses KIDS to manage cases and document casework, eKIDS allows limited inquiry into KIDS data for parties outside DHS, including judges, tribes, and agencies with DHS contracts that work with the families involved in the Child Welfare System.
eKIDS provides inquiry‐only access to certain information in the KIDS system used by Child Welfare workers. When working juvenile cases, it is important to use eKIDS to make sure all information you have is current.
If you need to gain access, contact the PFRs for forms to request log in credentials.
Each Child Support office is allowed access to eKIDS and at least one child support worker per office will have access.
Using eKIDS provides access to:
- NCP information such as address, telephone numbers, employment, and SSN.
- Child placement information such as foster home or group home data.
- Court information such as the next hearing date and parental rights information.
- Information shown in eKIDS is only as timely and accurate as the worker entering the information. If information that is needed to move the child support case forward is not on eKIDS, contact the worker assigned to the case requesting that information be updated.
